The outdoors deeply influence my approach to design and photography. I am passionate about skiing and cycling; particularly Cyclocross, Mountain biking, and Bike Polo. Design has always been a love of mine. While studying for my Art Education Degree at the University of Georgia, I explored Sculpture and furniture design, relishing the opportunity to enhance existing designs for better functionality and aesthetics. My fascination with space planning began in childhood, as I sketched floor plans for dream homes.
With an Associates of Arts Degree in Photographic Arts and a BFA in Art Education, I taught Art, Film/Broadcast, and Photography at a Metro Atlanta High School before transitioning to outdoor retail design. As Lead Store Designer at Trek Bicycle, I gained valuable insights into retail operations, contributing to strategies that have shaped the brand and store protocols in place today. Combining my design passion with my love for the outdoor industry and helping others succeed has been incredibly fulfilling. I look forward to continuing to support retailers in their ventures.
After Trek, I pursued my dream of joining the Breckenridge Ski Patrol as an Accident Investigator to be closer to the mountains. I handled medical emergencies, participated in avalanche mitigation, and ensured mountain safety during winter. While photography now plays a smaller role in my activities, it remains a personal passion.
